Do you guys have that one store you've been shopping at for ages now? That store that you MUST pay a visit to each time you're at the mall? That's Victoria Secret for me. More specifically VS Pink. Each time I walk into a Pink store I automatically feel at home. I don't know if it's because pink is my favorite color and I'm partial or because I've been shopping here for ages. You know how we all have rites of passage such as getting our first car or turning 18? Getting my very own VS Pink credit card and proceeding to shop there at least twice a week for the next few months was mine. You see VS Pink and I are in very loyal relationship (for the most part at least). We've been in this together for 7 years or so. I've been there since the days that the Pink collection only consisted of a tiny shelf of sweats, beauty rush products (wow I'm old) and the occasional limited edition item. An entire clothing line and section of the store later, I'm still a loyal VS Pink aficionado.

That's why when I walked into the store during one of my weekly visits, I immediately fell in love with their tropical collection. Being an island girl, the prints from this collection immediately stole my heart because it reminded me so much of home. The black base balances the dress out and gives it the chic look, allowing you to dress it up if you wanted to. As if the print was not already enough to win me over, this dress also has a criss-cross back and bralette looking straps on the front side of the dress. If you can't already tell I love dresses with a little bit of back action and this dress definitely accomplishes that while still keeping it classy. For this outfit I decided to go with the classic black and gold accents. I paired it with my structured black purse, which adds to the casual classy vibe of this outfit. I opted for minimal jewelry for this outfit since I wanted to use my floppy hat and the print is already a big statement. Tip: When you want a certain part of your outfit to stand out, dress down the rest of your look so that everyone's attention is focused on the main statement. Too much going on in your look will be overwhelming to the eyes. For my shoes, I decided to wear my wedges from AmiClubwear (who is actually having a 50% sale right now) to keep the "strappy" vibe. I love these wedges because despite the height the platform provides a strong support so I do not find myself wobbling while walking. Check out www.amiclubwear.com for these shoes or other similar items.

Till Next Time, Xo Paula
