Althea Korea Bare Essentials Kit Review

The whole set

The whole set

I've never really been a skincare aficionado, or for that matter really cared much about skincare. From time to time, I do like to try new products (mostly because I like to pretend I'm one of those ladies in the skincare commercials gracefully splashing water onto my face when I was product off--no just me?), but I have never really developed an actual skincare regimen. Why? For 2 reasons mainly.

Step 2: Primer Water

1) I'm impatient and lazy

Haha ironic for a blogger who has to have so much patience and motivation to keep a blog running right? Well when I start a new skincare regimen in hopes of actually having a routine, I get lazy and impatient when it takes too much time and if I don't see results right away. Yeah, yeah I know--unrealistic. So one of the reasons why I have been loving this set is the fact that it is a whole routine wrapped up into 3 fairly easy steps that I can complete in less than 10 minutes (which is a heaven sent when I barely have any time to eat). I've been using the product for about a little over a week, and I can already see the smoothing difference it has made to my skin!

2) I have really sensitive skin

This is honestly one of the biggest reasons why I am not as adventurous with the products I try on my skin. I have always had really sensitive skin so I have to be extra careful with what I put on it, otherwise, I get a really bad allergic reaction. This is also why I am so picky with skincare products or sometimes just prefer to use none at all. What I love most about this product is that it is a very gentle cleanser.

The contour cleanser has no cleansing beads (which I don't really have a preference of), but what I like about it and how silky yet milky it feels. One of the reasons why I love Korean skincare products so much! The primer water does not really have a perfume scent which makes me feel better about putting it on my skin and it glides on easily! I used a cotton ball to apply it more evenly. The fixer cream I really like because unlike most moisturizers out there, this one does not leave your skin feeling extra oily. Which I appreciate since I already tend to have oily skin.

Overall, I really love this Bare Essentials Kit and am looking forward to trying more Althea Korea Products!
